Apple Music is one of the popular online music streaming apps that allows users to create and share playlists with others. With a wide variety of genres to choose from, users can create personalized playlists in Apple Music and share them with friends and family through AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or social media. Spoiler alert: It’s as easy as biting an Apple!

How to create a playlist in Apple Music on iPhone and iPad

  1. Launch the Music app on your iPhone.
  2. In the Search bar, find the song you want to add to a playlist.
  3. Tap and hold the title of the song.
  4. Tap Add to a Playlist ➝ select New Playlist.
  5. You may add a playlist image, change the name, or add a description.
  6. You can further add songs to the playlist by hitting Add Music.
  7. Once done, tap Done.

Another way is:

  1. In the Music app, search and open the song you want to add.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
  3. Select Add to a Playlist.

How to share a playlist in Apple Music on iPhone and iPad

  1. Launch the Music app → tap Library at the bottom.
  2. Press and hold the playlist you want to share.
  3. Scroll down and tap Share Playlist.
  4. Choose how you want to share like AirDrop, Messages, Mail, etc.

Another method:

  1. Open the playlist you want to share.
  2. Hit the three dots at the top right corner.
  3. Tap Share Playlist…
  4. Choose how you want to share.

You can use these two methods even on playlists shared with you or the one created for you in the Apple Music app.

How to create a Playlist in Apple Music on Mac

  1. Launch the Music app on your Mac.
  2. Search and select the song you want to add.
  3. Click three dots next to the song.

From the All Playlists page:

  1. Hover the mouse over the playlist.
  2. Click the three dots icon.
  3. Select Share.
  4. Now, choose how you want to share.
